Cefalu is a little city with Norman origins, a treasure chest to discover. One of them is the Duomo, recently declared Unesco World Heritage Site. Not to be missed is a visit to the Museum Mandralisca, where among other treasures you can see the mysterious Portrait of an Unknown Sailor by Antonello da Messina. Also a climb up to the top of the Rocca is worth your time, for its mix of archeology and nature.
Inside the Madonie Natural Park there is plenty to admire, abundant nature and grand vistas. It is home to numerous species of flowers, typical mediterranean macchia and olives.
