This year we decided to visit the real Sicily, a place that had not been contaminated by globalization and could really make us understand what the nobles of Europe of the late nineteenth century experienced. We have chosen the Dimora dei Frati as a base for the province of Palermo. Reconstructing how we organized our vacation, after various options identified on the Internet, I really have to say that the choice was never more appropriate.

The village is a few kilometers from Cefalù, and the Madonie park where the structures are located, is a charming, peaceful place. You can still breathe the air of the true Sicily of the past, with its traditions and its aromas.

On Dimora dei Frati, I really have to compliment: a beautiful restructuring of the place and setting with decorative elements of Sicilian craftsmanship. Nothing is left to chance. Merit of Debora and Markus, who put so much passion into their business, transferring to the guests the right elements of the tradition and culture of the territory.

I also mention Mimmo and Serafino, who in the dinners we had the opportunity to consume, one based on wild boar and the second based on fish, were able to delight our palates with recipes with really interesting flavors. One evening I wanted to have dinner in Cefalù, but once there, i was disappointed: there was no comparison with what was tasted at Dimora. If we were to use a word to describe everything, we could certainly say … exquisite! Finally we found the real Sicily.
